The covers of crossword magazines often use female images from erotic photography dressed with a rough graphic intervention. The black marker is the second layer of covering on the original female body and refers to the typical outfit worn by old widowed women in Balkan and Mediterranean villages.
The phrase "ΚΟΛΛΗΤΑ ΣΤΟΝ ΚΙΜΑ" (cheek by jowl in minced meat) appears at the bottom right on the solid background of the covers and the answer is 2 consecutive letters in the word "ΚΙΜΑ" (minced meat).
